Sometime, often -actually! – Fashion is the messenger of artistic souls. As designers, we use it to express ourselves, to deliver a message, to fight for a cause, to get rid of a bad feeling or just to improve the daily life of people we want to see happier.
At the Vancouver Fashion Week, I’ve met a family/team that has a big heart full of catching positive energy! NVI is a Mexican womenswear brand led by Ivonne Diaz de Sandi, a Businesswoman and Fashion Designer based in Guadalajara, Mexico. The motto of her S/S 18 Collection is GRATITUDE. Her inspiration: « I am inspired by the internal and external beauty of women who seek to empower themselves as well economically and emotionally. In this way we considered that we can have marvelous relationships for the right reasons with men, with our family and social environment, and complement ourselves with supporting and inspiring each other, achieving a more equitable society in opportunities. »
The collection is made of beautiful fabrics and wearable garments that create feminine and bold women silhouettes. I had a few crushes on that day 😀
